Patient Guidelines during COVID-19 Pandemic

Please read and follow the guidelines below:

1) Signs throughout the office detailing the new steps and protocols to ensure maximum safety for staff and patients.

2) Packed waiting rooms are a thing of the past. Instead, we have spaced seating and scheduled fewer appointments to minimize patient to patient contact. You will be asked to avoid bringing family members into the exam room. Please follows the “one child, one parent” rule for your visit. We will ask additional family members to wait in their car and not come in unless your assistance is necessary.

3) Methods have been introduced to decrease the number of surfaces a patient will touch.

► All patients must use hand sanitizer when they enter the office. “PURELL® Hand Sanitizer Dispenser” is located on left side of the entrance.
► We encourage new patients to download our registration forms online and fill it at home. You can email to us or bring to the office.
► We limited the pen container on the countertop. Please ask for a pen if you need.
► We have cashless payments.

4) A prescreening process will be done over the phone for symptoms of the virus prior to making/confirm appointments. Patients who are not feeling well or who have been in contact with someone who is ill will be asked to reschedule their appointment two to three weeks in the future.

5) Measure body temperature upon entrance. Anyone measuring 99° or above will be denied entrance.

6) Everyone in the office (patients, staff and doctors) are required to wear face masks. We ask that you keep talking to a minimum when in close contact. Shields have been installed to increase safety. Our examine room is thoroughly sanitized before and after each patient visit.

7) Individuals with suspected ocular infections will be put in a special containment area.

8) When picking up your new glasses or if you need a repair, the frames will be sprayed with medical disinfectant or UV disinfected before and after we adjust and dispense them. If you are looking at the displayed frames, please put the used frames to the special bin for disinfection. Do not put frames back on the shelves after trying them on. No frames will be used until completing disinfection process.

9) For OrthoK lens wearers, bring in your lens care kit with you. In office lens removers are limited. New lenses are always provided in a sanitized case after disinfection.

It has been a difficult time for all of us. We appreciate your cooperation. Let’s work together to provide our services with safety and effectivity.
